BLUE OCEAN
特定非営利活動法人ゼリ・ジャパンは資源とエネルギーを再利用により廃棄物を０に近づけて循環型社会を実現することを目指し、環境教育の啓発や環境に配慮した産業システムの構築を行っているNPO法人です。大阪・関西万博においてゼリ・ジャパンは海洋をめぐる問題を解決しようとパビリオン「ブルー・オーシャンドーム」の出展を決定しました。
皆さんは大阪が“水の都"と呼ばれていることを知っていますか？ 市街地を縦横に走る河川が水運を発達させ、大阪は経済・文化の盛んな場所となったため、明治時代からそう呼ばれています。そのような水路に恵まれた大阪で行われるパビリオンは海の豊かさを世界中に発信する絶好の機会です。海の魅力を人々に伝えていきたい、また環境保全に取り組む企業や自治体が集結する場所となり持続可能な社会を実現していきたいという思いが込められているのです。
これらの思いがこめられたパビリオンではどのような体験ができるのでしょうか。このパビリオンはＡ,Ｂ,Ｃの３つのドームで形成されています。Aドームは循環がテーマで展示が行われます。水の不思議さを表現する装置にふれ、心身を清める空間になっています。Bドームのテーマは海洋であり、生命の源である海洋の豊かさや危機を表現したオペラが行われます。Cドームは叡智がテーマです。叡智とは優れた知識のことをいいます。このドームでは参加者が企業の新しい考え方や技術を体験することができ、人類の叡智が交差する空間となっています。
これらの３つのドームに訪れることで今までは知らなかった海の魅力や改めて海の素晴らしさを感じるでしょう。このパビリオンに参加して皆さんでかけがえのない海を守っていきましょう。
Did you know that people have called Osaka a “city of water" since the Meiji period? Rivers and canals crisscrossed the city and facilitated water transport, making Osaka a hub of economic and cultural activity. The pavilion held in this water-rich city is a perfect opportunity to showcase the richness of the ocean to the world. The pavilion aims to convey the ocean's majesty to people and to become a place where businesses and local governments dedicated to environmental conservation can gather, working together to achieve a sustainable society.
What kind of experiences can you expect at this pavilion? The pavilion consists of three domes: A, B, and C. Dome A focuses on the theme of circulation of water. Exhibits here feature devices that express the mysteries of water, creating a space that refreshes both body and mind. Dome B is themed around the ocean. It will feature an opera that showcases the richness and the perils of the ocean, the source of all life. And Dome C centers on the theme of wisdom. Here, wisdom refers to deep knowledge. This dome allows participants to experience new ideas and technologies from various companies, creating a space where human wisdom converges.
Visiting these three domes will help visitors discover the previously unknown beauty of the ocean and appreciate its wonders anew. By visiting in this pavilion, let's all work together to protect our invaluable oceans.

Message from Zeri Japan to the Readers:
We will approach the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives" of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, from a perspective of sustainable use of our irreplaceable oceans and protection of a rich marine ecosystem. Our aim is to heighten awareness for environmental protection to all visitors, especially children who are our hope for the future.
